Applied Arabic Morphology Mentorship Program (AMP)

 (AMP 101) | Year 1

4th Cohort Intake: May 1st, 2025

Course Duration: 3 months/semester | 4 semesters/year. (Part-time Online)

Classes: 2 days/week (Flexible). Daily practice homework throughout the week. Self-progress based mentorship.

Timings: Evenings or Mornings CST | Zoom.

Language of Instruction: English

Class size: Small or One-on-one (Very limited seats). Based on your level.

Ages: 15+ Men. (Must be able to recite Qur’an correctly).

Fees: $550/semester (if paid in advance) or $200/month.

▪ Want to pursue Darse Nizami Alimiyyah program in the near future but can’t commit to any full-time program right now.

▪ Students pursuing Near Eastern Studies that want to strengthen their Arabic Morphology using tried and tested traditional methods.

▪ Already have studied Arabic Morphology but want to practice and strengthen its word forms.

▪ Gain fluency in reading Arabic texts.

▪ Self motivated, highly committed, and willing to grind only apply!

▪ Want to strengthen their connection with Allah. Oh yes! Morphology can do that.

10 THINGS YOU WILL LEARN IN YEAR 1

  1. You will solve at least 500-800 verb forms in the 1st year alone and gain at least 800 Qur’anic vocabulary during the process in-shaa-Allah.
  2. Instantly identify the root letters by the end of the first semester in-shaa-Allah.
  3. Quickly identify and distinguish different verb forms and translate.
  4. Individual mentorship throughout the program and get feedback on your homework from Shaykh Umer Ansari.
  5. The “Hans Weir Arabic to English” dictionary will be made accessible to you in the first semester. The ability to look-up new words on your own is a joy of its own. The “al-Mu’jam al-Waseeṭ” Arabic dictionary could be made accessible to you by the end of the first year, depending on your comprehension.
  6. Gain the ability to translate from Arabic into English.
  7. Also gain the ability to translate from English into Arabic.
  8. Acquire Qur’anic and Hadith vocabulary during the process.
  9. Mentorship, close supervision.
  10. Humility, patience, perseverance. 

EXPECTED FROM YOU

▪ Must be able to recite the Qur’an with correct pronunciation (tajweed).

▪ Show your eagerness & commitment to master the content.

▪ Ensure 99% attendance of all the live sessions.

▪ In case of emergency, the mentor must be notified ahead of time. You will be responsible to make-up for the lessons missed.

▪ Memorize the verb tables to the best of your ability. Be willing to memorize, review, & practice the content.

▪ Complete homework to apply what you have learned.

▪ Dedicate 30-60 minutes on a daily basis to learn, review, & practice the content.

▪ Communicate your struggles/challenges with your mentor and be willing to persevere. 

▪ Follow through with mentor’s tips and hacks.

▪ Work hard, manage your time, grind, & not give up.

▪ Must successfully clear the semester end assessment.
