(AMP 201) | Year 1
Prerequisite: Must be able to read Qur’ān fluently with correct tajweed. Understanding of Arabic morphology (Ṣarf) is a huge plus.
Launch date: October 1st, 2024
Semester 1 Duration: October 1st, 2024 – February 27th, 2024, in-shaa-Allah. [18 Sessions]
Semester 2 Duration: April 5th, 2025 – July 26th, 2024, in-shaa-Allah. [16 Sessions]
Class time: Saturdays, 9 am – 10 am CST (1 hour) | Zoom Online
Course Fees: $120/month. (or $550 advance payment for the entire Semester 1 & $450 for Semester 2).
Course book: The book and the homework exercises will be provided in a pdf.
About this course: This is a beginner’s level course, however, it is fast paced.
EXPECTATIONS
– Must be able to memorize the lessons, complete the weekly assignments, and practice.
– Must attend each live class. There will be no recordings available!
– First Semester will cover the nouns and verbs ending prior to Ramadan 2025. There will be a Winter break with practice homework. Total 18 Live Sessions in-shaa-Allah.
– Second semester will cover the hurūf and it will resume after Ramadan 2025, from Saturday, April 5th 2025, Insha’Allah. There will be Eid al-Adha break. Total 16 Live Sessions in-shaa-Allah.
– Classes are fast-paced, with structured lessons. Students must keep up with the class pace by dedicating daily time slots for memorization, homework, review, and practice.
– Must be able to dedicate an hour on a daily basis outside of the weekly Live session.
– Must be willing to work hard and grind! Nothing innovative or breakthrough about this intensive. It is based on the traditional tried and tested method that is proven to produce quick results when work is done.
– Equivalent to the first year full-time studies at an Islamic seminary.
– This is a personal development course.

▪ Already have studied Arabic Grammar but want to practice and strengthen its word forms.

▪ Want to strengthen their connection with Allah and connect with the Islamic Tradition.
WHAT WILL YOU LEARN IN YEAR 1
- You will learn the applied principles of Arabic Syntax.
- Analyze Arabic sentence structures.
- Correctly identify the sentences and be able to correctly read without the i’rāb (diacriticial marks).
- Quickly identify and distinguish nominal and verbal sentences and translate according.
- Individual mentorship throughout the program and get feedback on your homework from Shaykh Umer Ansari.
- Gain the ability to translate from Arabic into English.
- Get familiar with Qur’anic and Hadith vocabulary during the process.
- Mentorship, close supervision.
- Humility, patience, perseverance.
EXPECTED FROM YOU
▪ Must be able to recite the Qur’an with correct pronunciation (tajweed).
▪ Show your eagerness & commitment to master the content.
▪ Ensure 99% attendance of all the live sessions.
▪ In case of emergency, the instructor must be notified ahead of time. You will be responsible to make-up for the lessons missed. A missed class and failure to catch-up will result in a student falling behind.
▪ Memorize the basic verb tables to the best of your ability. Be willing to memorize, review, & practice the content.
▪ Complete homework on a weekly basis to apply what you have learned.
▪ Dedicate 30-60 minutes on a daily basis to learn, review, & practice the content.
▪ Communicate your struggles/challenges with your mentor and be willing to persevere.
▪ Follow through with mentor’s tips and hacks.
▪ Work hard, manage your time, grind, & not give up.
▪ Must successfully clear the semester end assessment.
▪ Recorded sessions will not be available.
